DIY Heat Change Mugs!

I've seen this mugs all around the Internet, on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. And they are; Heat Change Mugs! So I said to myself; Hey, l should do that as a DIY! Its pretty cool so I figured it could be an amazing DIY. So lets start!

- Microwaveable Mug
- Pencil
- Porcelain Marker or Marker suitable for Mugs
- Porcelain Red Paint
Thermochromatic Pigment (You can find it in Amazon for 17.95) (+ It has to be Black!)
- Ceramic Varnish

Start of by printing a 8 bit heart, it does not have to be in color, just remember what the colors actually are. Then cut it out and draw with a Pencil the outline of the heart. (You can also freehand this, but I prefer to have a guide).

Then go over the Pencil with a Porcelain Marker or a Marker suitable for Mugs, and color in all the squares that need to be colored in in black.

Then color in with the Porcelain Red Paint all the heart (Don't forget to leave the white spaces in blank). You can color in white pain the white parts, but personally is a waste of time since the mug is already white (unless you're doing it with a colored mug, then paint it white). Now follow the instructions of you're paint, if it asks you to bake it, go ahead and do it. It will not ruin the process.

Then get your Thermochromatic Pigment and mix a small amount with the Ceramic Varnish, until well disolved. You should finish with something similar to ink.

Now paint with the pigment all the red parts (leave the white as it is). WARNING! Its better to add 2 thin coats, than 1 thick coat! Leave it dry for about 10 hours and BAM you have you're own Heat Change Morph Mug!

I hope you liked my idea of a Heat Change Morph Mugs! With all the ingredients it does cost more than the actual original mug cost. But with this ingredients you can make probably more than 5 mugs!

Thank you so much guys!
